Terry ran and passed for 4980 yards. In 1962 he completed 112 of 203 for 1738 yards and 15 TDs. He lead the Beavers in net yards averaging 4.5 per carry. He kicked 33 of 42 punts. Terry graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1963, then played pro ball with the Rams and the Edmonton Eskimos. He got his Law degree from USC in 1968, and is a partner of the law firm Tonkon, Torp, Galen, Marmaduke & Booth. Elected to the GTE Academic All-American Hall of Fame in 1991. He is Chairman of AAA (formerly American Automobile Association). Elected to NFF&C Hall of Fame in 1982.
